Harvest Oil & Vinegar has been excited to host Public Tasting Parties every Third Thursday of the month from 6pm-7pm. Each month, the theme changes, allowing patrons to sample a variety of appetizers and cocktails prepared with Harvest’s signature olive oils and balsamic vinegars. Third Thursday Theme Nights, hosted by Harvest’s knowledgeable Tasting Consultants Shauna Cornelius and Austin Hardin, kicked off with Mixology 101 in April of this year and featured a fun and festive night of cocktails prepared with our fresh and healthy olive oils and vinegars. Cocktails included the Harvest Buffala Negra, a Harvet twist on a bar classic, where whiskey and basil combined in a tart and tangy cocktail with balsamic syrup and ginger ale. The evening also featured the Harvest Pineapple Mojito, a summertime favorite featuring Harvest’s Pineapple White Balsamic Vinegar, bursting with fresh pineapple slices and abundant fresh mint leaves. Other Third Thursday themes have included Summer Sides and Salads, Just Desserts and most recently, Mediterranean Nights, where the menu included Mild and Spicy Hummus with Tahini, BalsamicBruschetta, Zesty Seasoned Pretzels, and a Hot and Mild Giardiniera. Patrons were able to escape the summer heat and enjoy the flavors of the Mediterranean right here in Coralville!
