Muddle the balsamic and basil in a cocktail shaker. Add whiskey and ice and shake hard. Strain over fresh ice cubes into glass. Top with ginger ale and garnish with basil leaf.
*Raspberry Balsamic, Blueberry Balsamic, Black Cherry Balsamic, and Pomegranate Balsamic also work well for this drink
