Korean Beef Bowl

Korean Beef Bowl


1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce

2 tsp Harvest Toasted Sesame oil

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1.4 tsp ginger

1 Tbs. Harvest Garlic Olive Oil

3 cloves minced garlic

1 lb. ground beef

2 green onions, thinly sliced

1/4 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

1/2 head green cabbage, sliced thin


In small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes and ginger. Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and cook about 1 minute. Add ground beef and cook until browned, 3-5 minutes. Crumble beef as it cooks; drain excess fat. Stir in the soy sauce mixture and green onions until well combined. Simmer 2 minutes until heated through. Add sliced cabbage and cook until heated through. Serve with sesame seeds over brown rice, if desired.
