Lemongrass Mint Julep

Lemongrass Mint Julep

Ingredients:

1 1/2 T Harvest Lemongrass Mint Balsamic Vinegar

1 T simple syrup*

2 large leaves fresh mint, plus more for garnish

2 1/2 oz whiskey, preferably Kentucky bourbon

Soda water

Ice, preferably crushed

Directions:

Combine Balsamic Vinegar, simple syrup, and mint leaves in a glass and muddle gently. (Over-muddling will result in a bitter cocktail.) Add whiskey and ice, and fill with soda water. Stir and serve, garnishing with more mint leaves if desired.

*Making simple syrup is, well, simple: Combine equal parts water and sugar and simmer or microwave until sugar is dissolved, stirring periodically. Cool before using, and store in the fridge.
